FAIRYLAND VILLAGE

Fairyland village is a delightful sojourn into a children’s world of fantasy.

A meandering walk takes you through the little storybook village, from cottage to cottage where inhabitants re-enact their fairy tales. At some cottages, there is a button to press to hear the story. At others, children can read the short screed themselves.

Humpty Dumpty is there sitting on a wall and he’s a favourite to be knocked down with a ball. Luckily children can do a better job than the King’s men did, at putting poor Humpty back together again.

Another favourite is Santa’s workshop and if you wondered how Santa and the elves make the toys, you can see them in action.

Other storybook characters include:
Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Pinocchio, Three Little Pigs, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,  Mother Hubbard, the Elves and the Shoemaker, Rumpelstiltskin,  Red Riding Hood, the Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, Santa’s Workshop, Cinderella, The Frog and the Princess and the Cottingley Fairies.

There is a great playground where children can expend some energy on the spinning rides and other play equipment.

You can meet the sulpha-crested cockatoo, who always has a lot to say for himself and there are other animals.

Back at the Tearooms tea, coffee and snacks are available as well as well-priced novelties, fairy wands and fairy outfits.

Open 10-5 Sat, Sun, school & public holidays, except Christmas Day    Entry can be arranged at other times by phone.
Group bookings are welcome. The park is closed during extreme weather. conditions
