More than a Lifetime of Collecting!
We've mined for opals, dug for fossils, collected shells, and bred butterflies in Papua New Guinea. While we cater for the casual visitor, we also have stock to interest serious collectors, museums and universities Australia wide.

MINERALS With over 700 species available, it is the widest collection in Australia, rare specimens and cabinet pieces from many classical localities around the world. But there are also the decorator pieces and items for budding collectors.

CRYSTALS A wide range for all esoteric purposes. If your local crystal shop doesn't have it, most likely we will.

OPALS AND GEMSTONES Opals are a fascinating stone, uniquely Australian –  I was enticed to go opal mining 45 years ago, I didn’t find much, but the range and quality I have since acquired represents all types mined around Australia.  You can select from beautiful opal jewellery pieces or choose an exquisite cut stone and we will make it up to your design. There are also 150 other gemstones which we cut and have available. Few people can match that range!

FOSSILS Exotic and to a degree awe-inspiring, from virtually every country. There are minute insects to metre long fossil fish, still intact after 100 million years. Fascinating to look at, while many are surprisingly affordable.

SHELLS Rich in Indo-pacific and Australian species with other areas also represented. There are the large showy decorator shells and smaller, beautifully fresh delicately patterned collector items for every budget.

BUTTERFLIES AND INSECTS  There are always some on display, but like most of our stock lines, you have to ask to see the beauties not on display.
