The Lobethal Lights, where the whole town is decked in Christmas lights, celebrates the Festive Season from around the 10th until the 31st December. Festivities begin with the 'Lighting up Ceremony' and the Christmas Tree Festival.  Colourful Christmas displays light up the town and there are street stalls and markets with plenty to eat and drink. The Lobethal Lights tradition began over 60 years ago when shopkeepers painted light globes to decorate their shops.

Lobethal Christmas Pageant with lots of colourful floats and community participation is held annually a couple of days before Christmas Day.

Time: 6.00pm until 9.00pm

Lobethal’s Main Street will be closed to all traffic.

Historic racing returns to the Adelaide Hills at Lobethal on the October long weekend.

Historic racing cars from the era, mostly of the 1938-1948 vintage, classic cars and motorcycles, feature in the exciting closed road demonstrations on the original 8.65 mile (14 kilometres) Lobethal Race Circuit.
